  1. Currently reading Moby Dick. I read it years ago…didn’t like it. I am enjoying it more this time, but I still feel Melville goes into too many details of too many trivialities. I think the STORY is a marvelous story, but suffers somewhat in the telling.

  2. For classics: Dombey and Son (actually rereading, since I didn’t remember it especially well). To review: The Book of Strange New Things by Michael Faber. Enjoying both!

  4. Hi, Classics Club, thanks for the opportunity to share! I’m currently reading Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh. Not sure if this is a “classic” but it is one of the Guardian 1000 best novels, which is the challenge list I follow. It is a tough read for me — not sure if I’m going to make it through. Cheers! Eager to see what others post…..
