I finished On a Winter Night A Traveler. It is considered absurdist literature. That is for sure. While I was reading it, I was confused the whole time. Afterwards I am glad I read it, just so I can say I did. https://headfullofbooks.blogspot.com/2023/01/review-and-quotes-if-on-winters-night.html

I read this book as a young adult and loved it. I wonder if I would still feel that way?

Well, I’m in my 50s and loved it, if that helps! I think it is a book that could be re-read and that the reader would probably appreciate different aspects of Philip’s story at different ages and after different experiences of their own.

I re-read Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis. I enjoyed it enough that I’m currently re-reading the second book in the trilogy and hope to get to the third next month! Here’s my review:

Yes and yes! I read Far From the Madding Crowd – not my favourite Hardy, but very much worth reading.

Yes, indeed. I finished my book. It was completely new on my list and I am glad I got that number.
Mine was Berta von Suttner Lay Down Your Arms from 1889. A worth read.

I barely even made a dent in mine (Anthony Trollope’s Ralph the Heir) – normally I love him so I think it just wasn’t the right time for me with this book! Very impressed that so many others have finished their though.
