What book(s) did you read during the event?: Jack Kerouac’s Big Sur

What did you like about our event? It push me to provide really quite and quality time to read a centain books.
Do you have suggestions for future Readathons through The Classics Club? I like the idea of an entire weekend making it easier to work around other obligations.
Would you participate in future Readathons? Yes, certainly.

What book(s) did you finish? : Oliver Twist
What did you like about our event? It push me to provide really quite and quality time to read a centain books.
Do you have suggestions for future Readathons through The Classics Club? Yes, maybe the next Readathon will held onweekend, so instead just 24 hours, it’s going to be 2 days straight-to-read.
Would you participate in future Readathons? Definetely, hopelly I can re-arrange my works schedule in the next event.

I enjoyed it very much, and would definitely participate again. I didn’t finish any books, but I made serious progress on one that was one my list, and I had a great day. I think it’s fun to read other people’s blog posts–it’s not always something I have time to do, and the readathon is a good opportunity to see what other people are reading and writing. I think it would be helpful if everyone put a link up–if people put their link in the comments, I didn’t necessarily get to their site. It was faster to click through the links.

I read Picnic at Hanging Rock and Rebecca and finished both.
I enjoyed the group participation and visiting other blogs.
Overall I loved the morning but the continuous reading was too hard on my eyes so I don’t think readathons are for me, unfortunately.

Thanks for hosting the event! I had a blast and I can’t wait for the next one.
1. What book(s) did you read during the event? Les Misérables and Gone With the Wind. Sadly, I fell asleep before I could get to The Divine Comedy (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).
2. What book(s) did you finish? I finished Les Misérables, and cried accordingly.
3. What did you like about our event? The possibility to catch up on my classics reading, especially because it helped me kick 2013 into high gear, reading-wise.
4. Do you have suggestions for future Readathons through The Classics Club? Not really. I’m not big on the super scheduled sort of readathons with the hourly memes, so I appreciated the freedom and relaxedness of this one.
5. Would you participate in future Readathons? Without a doubt, yes. 🙂

1. What book(s) did you read during the event? I read “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame” by Victor Hugo.
2. What book(s) did you finish? Same. After finishing Hugo’s novel I felt so exhausted I couldn’t make myself start another book.
3. What did you like about our event? It was a great experience! I hope that in the next one I’ll be able to interact more with the rest of its participants.
4. Do you have suggestions for future Readathons through The Classics Club? It’s the first I’ve ever participated in so… I don’t know. But this one has been great 🙂 (maybe organise something on the GR group? to have more contact with other participants?). Also, as I live in another country, different timezone, I didn’t follow exactly the same timing, but I guess it’s impossible to do something about it!
5. Would you participate in future Readathons? Definitely, as long as it is during the holidays!

What book(s) did you finish? Read To Kill a Mockingbird in its entirety
What did you like about our event? I’m a huge fan of readathons so this was great!
Do you have suggestions for future Readathons through The Classics Club? Weekends are hard for me to to read since kids are out of school. A week day readathon might be nice, or one that spans over several days (like Friday-Sunday etc).
Would you participate in future Readathons? Definitely!
