Featured Post of the Month: September!

This Month’s Featured Post comes from O Délaissé!

Post Title: Reading the Classics

Post Summary:

“This is a post about why one of our clubbers reads the classics.  She contemplates whether or not it is relaxing — and whether or not it should be (in her journey).”

Excerpt:

“Reading stirs up so much emotion it is overwhelming, and cannot be contained; and so we blog about it. We share on Twitter, Tumblr, or our blogs, because we literally cannot contain our excitement, thrills, or even upset. What a good book can do to us…. Like Charlotte said, the effects of “the wicked wit of Mitford? The cutting observations of Woolf? The universal truths of Austen?” How easy, really, is it to go to sleep after a marvellous book? I swear reading some of George Eliot was like a religious experience, so full of wisdom and so full of “Yes!”. Things I knew and things I ought to have known and do now, and thank heavens because it makes things a little bit easier.”
