Weekly Round-up for September 4, 2012

General Club News

Can you believe it is September already?  For some members, this means school is starting for us, our children or our students.  It also means that our humble little club here has been enjoying its new home for a month already!  What do you think of our new look?  Again thank all of you for your excitement and enthusiasm for the Club!  Membership continues to grow, reviews come in every single day and we have multiple events to talk about this month!

Events

Fanda at FandaClassicLit is hosting a read-along of Margaret Mitchell’s Gone With The Wind.  She kicked off her event on September 1st, but you can still catch up if you wanted to join in!  Here is all the information and the sign up page.  Lost Generation Reader’s Harry Potter Read-along also began September 1st.  Click here for more information.

Tien of Tien’s Blurb is hosting a read-along of Les Miserables starting September 15th and running through December 1st!  This is a huge book and is on many member lists, so why not read it with some company?  For more information and to join in the fun, please check out Tien’s post HERE.

If you have an event coming up, and would like to have it announced to the Club please email the moderators!  We are always happy to help promote member events.

Responses are already flowing in for this month’s meme question!  Don’t forget to link your response!

Also there is still time to nominate a fellow member to be our Classic Clubber of the month!

  1. Dear classic club moderator, recently I decided to have a blog exclusively for classic book: Simply Classic @ darjeelingclassic.wordpress.com, but in June I’ve already joined this Classic Club Project with my other blog: Darjeeling books @ darjeelinglife.com.
Would you mind to change it or should I sign up again? Thank you
