  1. My favorite is Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy. I read it as a senior in high school and – at a time where everything about school was an absolute turn-off — this book blew me away. And I still love it.

  2. I linked, but leaving a comment as well–Wuthering Heights, since I was 13 and well before I even understood the novel (how I saw it then versus how I see it now is worlds apart). Going to read Juli’s link now so I can get another perspective on it! Thanks for the great meme. 🙂

  3. A lovely question to ponder, but it’s tricky to pin down a single answer. Today I’m drawn to The Mill on the Floss, but on another day I could be drawn somewhere else entirely.

  4. Ha! I do plan to use Mister Linky over there, but here’s a brief look at my favorite classics: Tess of the d’Urbervilles, the Scarlet Letter, Sense and Sensibility, Wuthering Heights, and… and.. there’s more, but I’m blanking out. Love classics and glad to have stumbled onto this page.
